As of December 1, 2016, ICANN began implementing a new “Domain Transfer Policy,” which changes the procedure for transferring domain ownership from one registrant to another.
Whenever a registrant change occurs, this policy is activated, and a sequence of confirmation and approval emails is initiated. It is crucial to understand that even minor modifications to a registrant’s first name, last name, organization, or email address for a specific domain will also trigger the same series of notification and confirmation emails.
_(1) Please DO NOT make any updates to your Whois contact details if you intend to transfer your domain name away from us (your provider), as this will result in a 60-day Domain Transfer Lock, during which your domain name will be completely locked by the registry for 60 days.
_(2) _Please DO NOT proceed with any Whois contact details update if your current registrant contact email is no longer valid.
_
