Make sure you follow the steps below:

  1. Upload the icon is in the root directory and named it favicon.ico
  2. Add <link rel=”shortcut icon” href=”favicon.ico” /> between the <head> section
  3. Clear IE7 “Temporary Internet Files” and “History”
  4. Refesh the website and you will see the result
